RDH Outpatients & Front Lobby Refurbishment

It encompassed two separable portions:

• Separable Portion 1 – The refurbishment of the existing Outpatients;
• Separable Portion 2 – Refurbishment and extension of the existing Front Lobby, Phlebotomy areas.

Separable Portion 1 of the project included the demolition and the expansion of the Outpatients, Pre-Admission and Eye Clinics into a new space and the creation of sub-waiting areas. As part of the design process and prior to the award of the contract, The Department of Infrastructure liaised with key project stakeholders, the Royal Darwin Hospital and the Department of Health / Top End Health Services regarding the redesign of Outpatients. The Department of Health in turn undertook stakeholder consultation and coordinated feedback from end users on the designs.
